Hi, I am a 16 year old teenager, since I was this age I have liked medical matters, especially discussing brain health. Hopefully in the future technology will become more advanced and can contribute to medical professionals in treating brain-related diseases.
Yes I would like that. Also, a bit of a lengthy question- my father (William dob 08/22/1920 had dementia diagnosed at 77 y.o. Lost ability to walk and talk. He passed away July 1, 2005. His brother James (dob 10/5/1921) also had dementia- same thing couldn't walk or talk and was already in a NH at that time. My Dad ended up sharing a room with him at the nursing home. We believe that they knew each other. James passed away February 14, 2008. My Dad had a sister Marjorie (dob 01/12/1928) who was in her late seventies was diagnosed with dementia. She lived out of state, so I don't know the details. She passed away Sept 7, 2017. Dad had 2 other brothers; George (born 1926) died of Lung Cancer in his 50's. Robert (born 1924) did not have dementia and passed away in 2011 of natural causes or MI. My Mom and Dad had 4 children - Donna 77 yrs. William Jr, 73 yrs. Suzanne 69 yrs, and me, Kathleen 62 yrs. Donna was diagosed with anal cancer in June 2023. She went through 180 hrs chemo and 33 radiation tx. She ended up back in hospital w/ UTI, needed IV fluids, etc. In November 2023 Donna began really exhibiting dementia symptoms. (but memory issues before that). She lost her daughter age 47 yrs. to cancer in Feb 5, 2013. 10 days later, Feb 15, 2023 she lost her husband- cardiac arrest. She has been a "shell" of herself since then. She is currently living with her daughter Stephanie. She has lost approximately 50 pounds + since last June. Donna is under Hospice care and is bedridden. Hospice believes she is in end stage. She lost her ability to walk. Her voice is usually very soft when she speaks. She is not in any pain. Most days she knows who I am. She makes comments that don't make sense. She asked me where her husband is. I said fishing. She talks about my parents as if they are still alive. It is so heartbreaking to see her like this. And I am worried about myself! I am a nurse at Butler Hospital in Providence, RI. I would love to hear some advice! My email is klduchesneau126@gmail.com. Thank you!
Thanks, Nancy Lynn for this interesting presentation
Are your treatments available all over the world or just in the USA?
Great info, thank you.
Why are you asking me for money? I am very low income. The VA is treating me.

Ironically you perfectly described my eye's😅 Headed in tom to deal with the oil slick in my right eye.
Please have more info on vascular dementia. I've had 2 mini strokes 2 concussions
It was such a great presentation. !
Damn, never seen anyone so happy about having AMD. Not to be rude, but why in hell are you laughing about this? Your attitude about this is actually annoying and impossible for me to continue watching the video. Btw, everyone has some small holes in their retina, not just those with lattice degeneration. I was told I had LD in 2000 and my ophthalmologist never even mentions it to me anymore. Told me not to worry about it. Anyway, all the best for you.
Well this is very interesting and explains a lot of what I am experiencing . I am only 47 what a fun ride this is going be.
Facing dementia at a young age is challenging, but please know that you are not alone. Seeking information and understanding your experience can be empowering. Remember to reach out to your support system, whether it’s friends, family, or support groups. Thank you for tuning in to our program.

Great news information, my mom has Lewy Body dementia after being misdiagnosed with Parkinson’s for 8 years. She is a stage 6d. Some days are better than others. We finally had her and my dad enter a assisted living and she is doing pretty good there since my dad is with her. I don’t think she would be able to stay there if she was alone.
Thank you so much for this!

Per Dr. Sharyn Rossi, BrightFocus Foundation’s Director of Scientific Programs, Neuroscience: “Some science has shown that caloric restriction can increase longevity and be beneficial for brain health/function. Caloric restriction changes the way your body processes fuel shifting from glycolysis to ketosis. It also causes many downstream genetic changes that influence inflammation, metabolic function, cellular support and survival, and genes associated with longevity. It is always important to ensure you are consuming the correct macronutrients and vitamins and minerals as recommended by your health care professional. Malnutrition can result in cognitive problems similar to dementia symptoms.” Thank you for your question & all the best!
Is there a possibility of a person getting in to receive this new drug & help in the researching this drug?
Thank you for your question. Leqembi received full approval from the FDA on July 6, 2023. It is an antibody that works to clear the brain of an abnormal protein called amyloid, known to be one of the root causes of Alzheimer’s. It’s intended for people who have mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia and are shown to have amyloid present in their brains. Please talk to your healthcare provider if you have questions or concerns about Leqembi. For more information about Leqembi, please visit bit.ly/3reLPOn.

Wow, excelente PR campaign, I wonder the C2N budget for PR annually... Money talks.
Can lequimbi be put into a pill form?
Leqembi is not available in pill form. Leqembi is given through IV infusion every two weeks. It is available at certain infusion centers across the U.S. Each infusion lasts about an hour. Leqembi is given through IV infusion so that it more easily gets to the brain. Please talk to your healthcare provider if you have questions or concerns about Leqembi. For more information about Leqembi, please visit bit.ly/3reLPOn.
